This is double edged sword of the "points" system. I totally agree with Purito on this one. Teams have been having a field day with this points drama, excluding riders from races and discarding riders that are low in points. Well how about riders with large points demanding more money from their own team! None is better than the other so one may argue it balances things out? I think it exposes a system that needs to be fine tuned or discarded.

We knew that last season and the UCI did nothing to alter it.

Maybe he can go back to being a domestique for Valverde

:D...anyway if he leaves Moreno should be a leader which is good. This is almost the same situation like Purito-Piti in Caisse.
Teams who are(maybe) interested in him:Omega,Orica,Lotto,Liquigas(Brixia),Garmin

Purito just won the Giro di Lombardia! And took the world tour lead away from Wiggins :D.

First Spaniard to win Lombardia!

tough

a great win in tough conditions

one of the best moments of the year

but not quite as good as boonen at roubaix or gilbert at the worlds...........
.............for me

i'm amazed that jrod is 1st spanish rider to win lombardia

Best moment of the season as far as im concerned.

yes, definitely one of the best, who would have thought Purito would be the one soloing away from guys like Contador, Uran, Nibali, Sanchez, etc. Too bad we didn't get to see much of his attack on the climb.

On a hill like that it's not surprising. Because of the weather conditions it was pretty much everybody fending for him self and the strongest that was left won.

A bit weird how he got blown away at Milano-Turino though.

It's a longer climb with more constant gradient, but yeah after seeing him today I'm surprised by the way he dropped when Berto attacked on Superga.

Means for me it was the best moment of the season. For you it may be alberto getting a haircut and for someone else it could be Rabottini winning the giro stage but for me Purito winning a monument is the highlight of the year.
