Time to rethink the approach. Try to gain time with his team in the first half of the race in the echelons and what not

I thought Jonas was good today. Clearly he totally emptied himself in the final km (which is good training) - but before then he kept the gap steady. He doesn't have Pogi's acceleration but if TP attacks too early he can claw his way back. He's got a good chance at the Tour.

Pogi could have gone harder easily, so could Jonas claw back to today Tadej pace ? I think so. But if Pogi goes way faster than today then what ?

JV needs to stay mentally focused on next month and not think about this week now. Put the polishing touches on his form, and keep his mind sharp.

Keep working hard and keep believing. Not much else he can do. *** can happen in the tour and then he must be ready to pounce.

It's looking bleak, sure, but hold on to the never die attitude. And if I know Vinge right, if he goes down he will go down swinging.

Jonas deserves to lose today wearing those "sprinter" sunglasses. The red and white helmet is really nice though.

If there is one thing that could help Vingo raise his level in the TdF in my opinion, more than the 3rd week effect, are longer stages.
This year Dauphine stages are really short

Pogi will stomp, but Vingo will feel better than this Dauphine stages.

I have some numbers questions. Obviously Vingegaard has been beaten handily in the last two stages. However, how do the numbers compare to last year's Tour de France? Is Pogacar better than last year, and therefore the Tour looks bleak, or are neither of them at their Tour 2024 levels? I was really expecting this year to be quite competitive, but the Dauphine has got me worried!

2025 Vingegaard will beat 2024 Pogacar, but get beat by 2025 Pogacar.

I didn't expect this gap to Pogacar because Vingegaard is very close to his peak and the gap is too big right now. Pogacar is toying with him and this is not good for the Tour. Combloux was a massacre!

Me neither, but let see at the TdF. I expect Pogi to be spectacular, but maybe Vingo will somehow find an other gear

Maybe too much emphasise on weight reduction? Both Jonas and Remco seemed too obsessed about it but ultimately it's not the skinniest guy that wins the Tour.

When will this guy close his mouth?

What’s your problem? That he says Vingegaard doesn’t race enough? Literally a discussion had in this topic by other forum members too. Or that he feels Merckx is a greater rider than Pogacar? Also a discussion had on this forum. He says nothing controversial.

If things don't work out for Jonas in the Tour he should consider getting new coaches and it has also happened twice that DS Niermann told Jonas that if he rides X watts for Y minutes, he will drop Tadej only to later get dropped himself. This Niermann guy should stay away from strategy planning and the team radio.

It's like saying Evenepoel races too little. Without injuries and concussions, both would probably race more than Pogi.

After his crash in Itzulia last year, he has had 4 victories and 13 2nd places (9 of them behind Pogi). Is he going full Van Aert?

38 professional victories and now also 38 career 2nd places.

I think the problem for Jonas is that he needs Pogi to have a bad day - not just relative to him - but to other riders in the race. Pogi hasn't had one of those since Tour 23
