Jonas drew first blood.

The funniest thing I've learned this week is that although Van Hooydonck apparently is Vingegaard's best friend, the feeling don't seem to be mutua. NVH had no issues with talking to someone at JV and say thank you for Vingegaard's dedication, but he couldn't be bothered to reply to the text Vingegaard send him.

Yeah, when you are just out of a medically induced coma after a heart attack, while being in the hospital with your injured pregnant girlfriend, replying to text messages is of course top of mind o_O

No they didn't. And JOnas was faaaar from nice guy two times before that too. But Jonas lovers seem to forget that. It's not between them to decide. JV bosses should stop both of them and let Kuss get his win.
The JV bosses want to keep the golden fish happy.

Couldn't have been more generous today. Even deliberately shipped some time to show he's really not going for the win anymore. I wonder what Twitter will find to hate him on now.
Evidently he cares more about what Twitter thinks than he does about racing, so I'm sure he will be fervently searching his name to find out.

I think Vingegaard doesn't really follow all of that, he doesn't even manage his own Instagram, but inadvertently he'll have heard some of it.

So, totally unrelated to today's stage.
Apparently one thing Søren Reedtz could do to make him happy would be to buy him a burger in Madrid.
Well... guess someone will need to look for a good burger joint on Sunday.

Yesterdays posts in this thread seems pretty funny now - Vingegaard acted exactly like he has indicated.

If there acutally is a battle about being nr. 1 on Jumbo for nexts years tour de France, then we will probably see Roglic on a new team. That could be interesting, since there would be more contenders and I would love it as a cycling fan.

Overall i do understand if Roglic wanted to go for another Vuelta win for the history-books and not give the win away for free.
I also understand if Vingegaard wanted to win both TDF and Vuelta in the same year and I'm sure he could do it, if he really wanted it.

Maybe Jumbo did make a mistake bringing all three guys for this race:)

I'm not sure about my own feelings of given a grand tour victory away for (almost) free. It seems a bit degrading to the Vuelta. On the other hand, Sepp Kuss is a nice guy and have done a lot for the team.........

Maybe he and Remco could visit Bob's Burgers?

Vingegaard riding for Kuss is OK, but I find 2nd on GC just sitting up disrespectful. If I were Landa or Mas I wouldn’t like how Jumbo can do whatever they want.

They are allowed to chase him, which is what Roglic tried to do today but couldn't because he simply wasn't strong enough. Kuss did it on Tourmalet with more success. Is it so rare to see team tactics these days that nobody understands the concept anymore?
Please lecture us more...

Well put. The mental gymnastics on this forum should be a human study in itself. Everyone and their dog are trying to twist and turn every action and every word to fit their quite obvious agendas. I wonder if these people are actually convincing themselves in the process of if it's mostly cope mechanisms on display?
What's up with people lecturing? (insert vomit emoji).

Are you a broken record?
Yes, your lectures are on a loop!
-Don't assume that you are the smartest person in the room.
-If you assume that you are the smartest person in the room, you probably aren't.
-If you are the smartest person in the room, don't keep telling everyone that you are.

Skeletor, just 8 seconds from Tour-Vuelta double, was a domestique for the race leader today. He didn't lie yesterday after the stage.
I felt that he was being disingenuous yesterday...today he proved that he wasn't being disingenuous.

Thank you for lecturing me on what I should assume...

It's always easier to hate. As evidenced by the more than 5000 comments on the post about yesterday's stage on Jumbo's instagram page, all of them negative... as opposed to the few hundred on any other stage. Now there's a lecture for you.

Look at what you whining caused, Jonas has now been forced to hand over the victory to his domestique even though he could destroy him at any time.
What kind of competitor wants a pity win lmao. This outcome only has losers in it.

Vingegaard acted exactly like he has told, Roglic too, contrary to previous days. Jumbo bosses were full of this *** show, which Grischa Niermann couldn't handle, and they draw the line. Enough is enough, Kuss wins.

Oh and Kuss is not the problem, he never was, and I doubt he'll ever be. He was in this situation only because his two teammates are strongest riders of the race by far. Those two, on the other hand, I wouldn't put them in any race together anymore. They will act as a main opponents to each other.

There would have been at least two losers no matter what.
