TBH I'm way past the point of comparing numbers across the years. It seems the peleton has better nutrition every year. Relative differences is all that matter to me (one can compare numbers in the same season, yes, but even then local conditions and stage difficulties vary a lot). Vingo was by far the best during one stage and only slightly better than the rest during the other mountain stage. He's way more dominant than last year at this time but not sure if he's as dominant as he was in spring races of 2024 or in 2023 Basque Country (when he seemed impeccable and distanced his rivals at will).

As for Pogacar, I would say his dominance looks comparable to last year at this time. Maybe it's even better (but in MSR the circumstances could've been more favorable for him this year). We need more data points and the cobbles (plus Romandie) should give us them.

For a guy who's been struggling for two years, he's not done badly -

(original article https://sport.tv2.dk/cykling/2026-03-29-i-to-aar-har-vingegaard-kaempet-nu-er-jeg-tilbage )
“The past two years I’ve just struggled.”... “I feel like I’m in good shape – not at my absolute best yet, but we made a plan with the team that I would progressively get better through the year. So I feel quite confident that I still have more in me.”

Is it really true what Spencer Martin and Johan Bruyneel tell Lance Armstrong and George Hincapie here in this podcast about Jonas' view of Pogacar? I wouldn't have believed it 🤔

I like to hear him. There is something about him different from many others. I get that feeling of a former winner, a former "killer" on the bike.
true, but its hard for me to get past the douche factor and his hate for some of the riders or ex riders
and the fact he doesnt follow cycling anymore
