I'll eat my hat if he doesn't win the tour de france next year. KoM in the Tour de England. He could be the next Rasmussen.

Endura should sign Philip Gilbert as a super domestique for JTL. Makes sense.
I just wish JTL would try though and not soft pedal like he has been doing this year.

Well Vino had to pay to win it, I doubt Tiernan-Locke can afford things like that at Endura. I say good show old chap, show these forum fatties what-for!

Andy Schleck: 2006 Tour of Britain KOM, 2nd 2007 Giro
Danilo di Luca: 2008 Tour of Britain KOM, 2nd 2009 Giro

I think we can safely say that Jonathan Tiernan-Locke will end this drought of Tour of Britain KOMs failing at the last to convert that success into a Giro d'Italia triumph eight months later.

good spot, I went to the bookies site to see the odds for this happening and the fools haven't even got him in the running, what a shock is coming their way !

Well that was pretty impressive at Haut Var, bridging to the chase group, riding through it and gapping them at the end for third. Good riders in the group too, Visconti, Voekler etc.

He probably never will win a BIG one day race, but he looks Britains best bet of the current bunch. No doubt a big team will sign him, train the excitement out of him and turn him into domestique : (

when i told you that his physique is that of a proper cycling champion i wasn't fooling around.watch him today destroying everybody.

Well he's certainly got Gilbert worried:

(from cyclingnews)

"This parcours was much too hard for a February race," he jokingly told Sportwereld as he reached the finish on Sunday.

"The problem is that you can't really compete with the guys that have Haut-Var as an objective," Gilbert explained. "Take the Brit who won: I don't know the boy, and I may not ride against him again this year [Jonathan Tiernan-Locke]. My conclusion of Sunday's race is that my condition is good. I came to this two-day race in order to sweat, training for what is to follow. Mission accomplished."

"I may not ride against him" meaning "please lord, I hope I do not ride against him again this year" :p

The sole guy to have choose him for his CQ team has got to be laughing at us fools who didn't see his obvious class.

Haha, am I really the only guy who picked him? I thought he was an obvious pick after ToB! :D
