Now that Ayuso is out del Toro already saying he will race against Pogi at Worlds.
Why wouldn't he race against Poga? They're not from the same country...

@Berniece

I don't want to think about what you'd be saying if Ayuso had won a World Cup and Pogacar hadn't congratulated him.Ayuso didn't even congratulate him for last year's TDF, where he was part of the team, briefly, but he was part of the team and couldn't post a message.
The year after, Pogacar posts a message of congratulations to Ayuso, and the problem is that you don't like how it went. If he hadn't posted it, like Ayuso, the problem would be that he's not posting it. By the way, Pogacar hasn't posted any message for either Vine or Soler. Stop treating Ayuso like a child who needs special treatment. He never congratulates Pogacar. He hasn't even posted anything for the 2025 Tour, although Pogacar had to congratulate him for a stage, and you're all accusing him of not liking it.

The worst part is not posting anything about Tour2024 because he was part of the team.

By the way, what you never mention is that Pogacar and Urska, to help Ayuso in the face of criticism, published a post before Lombardia where they were training with Ayuso, to normalize the situation and help Ayuso.
That's not worth mentioning because they wanted to help him.

Left the discussion of congratulations because it's ridiculous. The one who looks worse is Ayuso. It's not in his best interest to discuss this childish analysis of Instagram posts.

He didn't congratulate him on social media. We have no idea if private messages were exchanged, or even if they spoke in person.

Here, reading the title, one could conclude Ayuso is being punished, after reading the actual article it turns out it's actually a gift.
What being asked to race Guanxhi does to a man.

Even Matxin disagrees with him.

“I told him: win a stage, the TTT or the GC — and you’re off the hook. He’s already done two of the three. He’s earned his rest.”

This was in regards to racing in China.

The team boss confirmed that La Vuelta will be Ayuso’s final appearance in UAE colours. Initially scheduled to ride the Tour of Guangxi, Ayuso has now been excused after meeting performance targets in Spain: “I told him: win a stage, the TTT or the GC — and you’re off the hook. Yes, i read the article..

Del Toro has won minor mountain classics.
It's the same as the discussion in Remco's thread about he can win the Tour.

They both have similar chances. I actually think Del Toro has a better chance to win the WC than Remco win TDF because in a one-day race, it's more likely there's an underdog winner.
Isaac Del Toro is in second year depth of training and racing at pro level speeds, pro level distances, pro level tactics. He is nowhere near a Pogacar or Remco, Del Toro is super talented, undeniable upward trajectory but he is a smart person, he has realistic expectations against riders throughout, but he is not going to race against his experience at UAE. He not going to reinvent a life were riders on his trade team are his advisories, not going to happen. He is going to follow Pogacar not attack him.
Ayuso is open season.
WC races and Olympics often have riders from federations of varying depth so that will make early part of the race more dangerous. Regardless of the media, Del Toro is learning, he has not mastered anything despite 10 wins this season. He will follow Pogacar( so will everyone else) and his trade team alliance.
Ayuso may have some grand plan to teach UAE a lesson and show them what they are missing but Del Toro will play by the rules, follow directions, stay in line with the " dictatorship " because abiding by teams direction is part of his early success, he knows that.
Del Toro knows he is racing his second season and will follow the advice of the massive experience at UAE and Isaac has guys like Solar, Almeida, Majka, Pogacar, McNulty to get advice from, unlike Juan Ayuso , Del Toro can't imagine being part of a better organization.
Ayuso went WT level in 2021 has 16 wins,
Del Toro joined WT level in 2024 and has 13 pro wins.
Heartbreaking that Juan Ayuso let's his ego get in the way of finishing out his ride at UAE calmly and professionally.

Now that Ayuso is out del Toro already saying he will race against Pogi at Worlds.

The Godfather of UAE team will surely have a few words with Del Toro, who will then turn out to be a good dom at the WC.
