Porsche 935 "bicycle car"
Driver: living legend Henri Pescarolo. Cyclist: Jean Claude Rude. This 935 racing car was modified back in 1979 to set the world record in “pacing,” aka “the fastest you can go on a bicycle.” Rude was doing just fine until one of his tires blew out at 168 km/h (105 mph)—he had been hoping for speeds over 200 km/h. On a bicycle.

Editor’s note: In case you’re wondering, the world record in this sport stands at 268 km/h (167 mph.) On a bicycle.
