But I ask you this, if a forum is to be open, should it entertain posts that demeans its members in a finite manner, or should the debate be done to engender thoughtful self appraisal? Because, contrary to your portrayal, it was not a post that was meant to open debate or make point of pragmatic common sense. It was meant to be offensive.

I understand your protestation. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe I should have looked at the picture and moved on never to view it again. If I made a mistake, it was a mistake of sincere pain in seeing the center of a belief system that took a gun out of my mouth and gave me a reason to hope that the next morning was worth waking up for degraded in a way that seemed meant only do belittle. Maybe I need thicker skin sometimes. I have been told that. Do I believe Jesus was all that concerned, no I don't. I don't cater to the petulant child version of God promoted by Christianity.

I don't make fun of atheism because there is no object to ridicule. You guys are comedic Teflon.

The only one I have is about agnosticism: What is an agnostic, insomniac, dyslexic? A person who lays awake at night wondering if there is a dog.

TFF ever get into Apologetics (the discipline of defending a position (often religious) through the systematic use of reason). I took a couple of classes and found it fascinating. I think you would enjoy it

Unfortunately no. What I did do is keep up with the debates between Hitchens and D'Souza which were incredibly interesting. It gave me great respect for Hitchens and the ability of D'Souza to apply Apologetics against one of the great minds in existence at this point in history.

Digweed, who we assume was either extremely devout or just a few apples short of a pie, left $47,000 to Jesus back in the late '70s. Jesus had 100 years to show up (80 now, clocks ticking Of Nazareth) and claim the money or it all goes to the state. Instructions were given for the money to be invested in government bonds, meaning that if the Lord shows up at the agreed upon drop time, he'll be able to claim over $600,000.

Predictably, problems have arisen as more than one Jesus has shown up to claim the prize, which we suppose is good news because it looks like there's at least twice as much savior walking around as we thought. Though it appears they're all strapped for cash

There is a local radio show that takes audio bits from food shows and removes the specific food references, and only plays the descriptive commentary. They use her and Giada a lot. It's pretty hot.
