Does anybody know if those Lowjack things they sell in the UK really work? It looks like you ram it down the seat tube and it transmits a signal that the company/cops can track your stolen bike. I am thinking of building a really expensive commuter with 8-speed internal and Shimano Alfine shifters. The place I have to park it is so-so on safety.Are they available in the US? Beofre everybody rips me a new one I already rode one. Yes having a light bike with a 3 pound hub is kind of kooky but the thing works good. fenders and not a lots of stuff is what I want on this one. My friend says it makes people really wonder why the fixed gear looking,generator hub guy can keep up.I am planing on using some theft proof type skewers on both wheels for quick run ins to the deli and beer stop.
