Probably not even vaguely on the same note, but it made me think of this guy. (Not only is he hot, he seems to have a heart of gold. He's my hero!)

EDIT: The connection between those two pictures comes to me now (I'm a bit slow sometimes)... as kids we're raised to love furry, warm animals. So it should come as no surprise when we want to save furry, warm animals.

Obviously the story of this guy's cub save is a lot more controversial here in Oregon, but I'd like to keep it as the warm-hearted story that it is at the site I had linked to. (The negative side of the story I can read elsewhere.)
