Thanks I sent her your reply. I'm pretty sure she is looking for a bike suitable for touring as she is on a around the world tour. She arrived in India after 9 months in New Zealand and Samoa. Maybe she'll get back to me. She belongs to Warmshowers. Are up for hosting a cycle tourist if she is headed your way?

A bike tour around the world, that's impressive. She'll definitely drop me when the road goes slightly uphill.

It's not safe in general for cyclists here in Pune. The place has 24 hour traffic because it is a transit point to Mumbai from the South of India. A highway passes right through it and there are lots of lorries and buses. I've had many run ins with motorcyclists in the past two years. They think it a good idea to ride at 30-40kms/hr on a pavement and many times I've veered away to avoid a motorbiker coming on the wrong side of the road at high speed. And all I do is a 4 km commute to college. It's better to stay away from Pune and Bangalore as they are two of the worst cities with regards to safety.

If that's not a problem and she's willing to ride here, sure I'd love to show her around.
I won't be available 3 weeks in January, it's my vacation period. No laughing at my bike
