Nordhaug has shown more than Henao, so it's not odd for people to suggest he should be favoured over him.

Horner was first over the Huy at 31ks looking good. He could have been in the top ten easy. I think he was sent back to help Frank finish 20th. That's just stupid. Bring me bucket, I want to puke!

it's irrelevant that he was first over the muur with 31k to go . . . it's not like they were racing to cross the muur in first place of the peloton at the time. and frank is better then horner that's why they sent horner to help him out.

Rui Costa the best man of Movistar (18th) again after being the best in Amstel too. I'm afraid we won't see much of the Visconti/Valverde double attack.

Thanks for that. Only mentioned it to just let everyone know that GE were racing and he had as good a form as nearly anyone else leading into the race, plus he seems to do well in the tough weather conditions. Time to go to bed in Australia but watch out for GE again on the weekend, Gerrans wasn't far away last weekend and should be rested up nicely (and warm).

LOL, yeah to be honest I'm as guilty as anyone else of writing GE off. I obviously knew they were riding, as they are ProTour, but to me at the start of the race, they've had as much chance as TT1 or Landbowkredit... How wrong was I. Well, after this performance I swear to never call them a name that I've called them couple times before

Horner 7th here 2010, same time as Gilbert. He didn't race last year. He is equally as good as Frank on the Mur and at Liege. WTF!

that's not a bad result considering the huy doesn't suit him at all. And it indeed looks like piti hasn't been able to find his form after his injury :(

ofc that for BR it just means he is off the juice . . .

should movistar have costa as their leader for liege with piti lacking form?

Purito, finally.. great ride by Albasini too. Competition was incredibly weak though.

So, Gilbert top favourite for Liège after all imo

I'm not saying it was a bad performance from Rui. As you said he's not suited to the Muur. He's supposed to be a domestique in these races.

It was a disappointing performance from Movistar, Valverde and Visconti were nowhere to be seen.

I doubt he will be leader but maybe he can try his hand in the final and come out with another top20. Or 10 if things get really right:)

I just hope Liège isn't another bunch sprint.

Nice result by the Shark. Everyone ahead of him is much more explosive and suited to walls like Huy.

form is coming rather nicely for him after the training camp, should be good in liege.

oh is he? i could swear i have never seen horner on the main move of liege, and certainly never on the podium.

in fleche neither has great results and neither was going to win today and top 10 places are irrelevant in the end anyway unless you are a young rider showing progress.

btw save your puke for may when horner becomes the best climber in the world for 1 week.

............

To be fair. 4th at Criterium International. 2 Top 5 at the Pais Vasco and 6th overall.

MUCH stronger than Henao at Amstel and here the produced decent attack. IT's not like Henao showed great deal. But I agree that Henao in few years will be the man here.

Stage 3:
Henao 8th
Nordhaug 10th s.t (as Henao)

Stage 4:
Henao 3rd +12
Nordhaug 5th +16

Stage 5:
Nordhaug 5th +5
Henao 13th +10

Pretty equal.

But I think Sky started Pais Vasco with Henao as captain and Nordhaug as domestique.

Nordhaug better in Trofeo Deia, better in Pais Vasco (ahead of Henao even before the TT), better in AGR, better today. Also very good in Crit Int which Henao didn't ride.

Both Rui Costa and Visconti were very active earlier in the final. Rui Costa did pretty good considering the effort he spent earlier in the race.

LBL 2010, Horner 8th, Frank Schleck 9th. Today is the story of Horner's career, being used as a domestique no matter the circumstances.

Frank should have been left for dead.

Frank did absolutely nothing for him at Pais Vasco. Horner should fall ill and ride Veulta and stay away from the Schlecks.
