Nibali went backwards in the last 100 m or so. Good to see Martin showing up. Disappointed by Antón, Poels and Urán. Valverde nowhere.

Interestingly, Dan Brown not nearly as strong as last year. Maybe cause they had to work more in the run-in to the finish.

(BTW, as a Russian seeing HUY Wout Poels HUY on the pavement just doesn't look right. I can see some of the sports channels having some fun with "J-Rod rocks the HUY" today)

No-ones predictions have included or mentioned Albasini and I think he is a good outside chance. Finished 12th I think last year and has had very good form this year with a solid performance at Amstel looking after Gerrans as his most recent outing. It seems that GE will be riding for Albasini and possibly Clarke if Albasini isn't feeling right.

I thought my contribution was invisible as I didn't get one reply (that I know of) or acknowledgement but hey, nearly got the biscuits :)

Henao 14th.

Nordhaug would've made top 10 if he hadn't attacked from 6-7km out.
So what you're saying is Nordhaug should have gone for an anonymous top 10 (that wasn't guaranteed at all - take a look at the top 10 of the race) rather than try to win? That's pretty depressing.

Noooo, Fabio where were you?!!?!

Also Hesjedal's attack was nice. Too bad it didn't last. But in the final instance, Purito clearly deserved a big win and was easily the strongest today.

Always good to see those guys do well. Martin must have been pleased with the rain, despite being a scrawny type as it will have reduced the pollen count.

Radio Shack...terrible. Did they send Horner back to help Frank? WTF. He was 7th in 2010 with Gilbert at 11 sec. I never saw Horner after that. He looked so easy the last time up the Mur.

J-Rod....unstoppable today.

Wow, super happy for J-Rod, that he finally got his Ardennes win. His palmarés now corresponds to his talent.
