Ben Tullet han been amazing. Not the first time for him this year.

Seixas had the worse scenary with a big sprint uphill for a debutant...but he is an historic champion. We have never seen anything similar at this age. Nor Merkx, nor Pogacar...for this race expèrience is more importan t than for San Sebastian (although Remco was amazing there as well at 19, but with no presure, he was working, no favourite)

It's an ideal bike, so it's our shared bike as we participate in it's idea. So it's the generic platonic bike of concept wielders, for example.

Terrible positioning, but I also think he Almeida'ed it a bit too much up the climb as he had plenty of opportunities to gain positions earlier in the climb. Seems like he wasted a podium there.

I don't agree with the second part, once you hit the narrow roads and the many spectators, it's impossible to pass unless someone loses a wheel and creates a gap you can go through, and that happens less at the bottom of the climb, where the gradients are lower.

Imo you cannot win the race if you are not in the first 15-20 when the climb starts.
