Pedersen already said before the start that the goal is to get a podium with Ciccone. But yeah, he was pretty cooked yesterday, and also didn't really sprint for the points anymore. Fortunately for him there aren't many hard stages, but he will probably still struggle on those.

Personally I though Tiberi would have the best chance to get on the podium, but so far he looks fairly off-shape.

Stage 2 was mysterious, but I think yesterday was as expected. Pellizzari looked bad though, and Hindley better than I thought he would.

3rd is wide open, and if not today, we won't get a good answer before Angliru.

Cicco rides for GC, no doubt now.

He didn't take a single pull after Vingegaard came to the front, so I don't think he can hope for more than 3rd.

Agree, he is obviously riding for GC, so does Pellizzari it seems.
Still, I'm not sold on Ciccone's actual chances, but that's just me.

Pellizzari has barely raced since May, so I'd expect him to grow into the race somewhat. That seems to also be in line with his last two GTs

I actually had Hindley rather high before the Giro and even last week I mentioned (not here) he is my pick for podium.
Pidcock...I was having a laugh with his chances honestly.
