I launched this poll about a year ago, but thought I would "bump it" to give additional people a chance share their opinion...still time to vote lol.

13 people voted "none" (You can click on the "votes" to see who they were fyi). Wonder if they still feel that way....

I voted "more than 7" and am still sticking to my guns. I think the Feds will launch a bevy of indictments, shotgun approach, hoping at least one will stick. That would be viewed as a conviction and success I suppose.

But if I have to bump this thread again a year from now, I may start having some doubts. Is it true that there have been no GJ Witnesses called in front of the GJ this entire year? I think I read that somewhere....

I do find it curious that Lance has taken the yellow "Livestrong" band off his twitter picture. Maybe he does not want any WitchHunt Smear Goop to bounce off of him and hit the Foundation? Maybe Lance knows something we do not? Drumroll?

Ok, I'll bite. I know you can't source it because this is insider knowledge but give some info bra, you can't just hang something so big out there. The other forum insiders have said she gets paid plenty to follow the "don't run yo mouth" clause. Do tell.
I think she now has more to potentially lose by not helping the feds---lose like her home, support income, investment income. Immunity is an amazing thing for loosening lips to sink ships.

My dear, you should have run more numbers past 7 - like more than 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 etc.

Don't be surprised if Livestrong is thrown into the mix. Agencies with investigative jurisdiction over US Postal/LA, FBI, DoJ & IRS, also have jurisdiction over Livestrong's activities.

Your last paragraph contains this foreboding.

What I don't know is how I could have missed this Jewell of a thread! Simply amazing and fascinating not to mention entertaining. :)

So if the whole bruhaha comes to nothing can the CN clinic faithful come up with something to salvage the day like crimes against humanity or at least crimes against cycling? I would hate to see the "interesting about LA" thread fade to the background, it's the most entertaining part of this whole website.

98 - 99% of U.S. federal investigations lead to indictments. 95% of those indictments then yield convictions. I think I'll play the odds on this one.

I like those odds.
The Lance supporters shout so loudly sometimes their fervent belief of the legal system being incapable of bringing much to trial.
...don't think they would waste so much money and man-hours on a lost cause.

Armstrong rolls the hard eight. When he refuses to deal, the superseding indictment pushes the number to twenty-two.

Is there a possibility of five?

I wish I was a fly on the wall, knowing if Novitzky has uncovered evidence of witness tampering!

I'm willing to bet that they've taken a long, hard look at the miraculous "donation" to the University of Indiana just before the good doc's SCA trial testimony. And of course, LAF's "donation" history (prior and since).

You have to add the certainties of -

- income tax evasion with related charges of law breaches to conduct income tax evasion activity.

- specific fraud against the US government

- conspiracy

- bribery of foreign officials (slam dunk - UCI have admitted to certain transactions previously kept secret. Confusion reigns in UCI with explanatory inconsistencies of dates, amounts & justifications)

- administering medical procedures without a license (if you recall refusing to answer questions in BALCO relating to this issue caused Barry Bonds, with immunity, to be held in contempt)

- being in possession of an unapproved drug

- US customs offenses in relation to drugs & drug paraphernalia

- possibly numerous Livestrong charges arising out of targeted IRS investigation.

Past cases regarding prosecuting PED use in professional sports in the US has a precedence.

People have decided that the US government has no authority and business involved in this subject.

Thus, it is why any doping case has only found individuals guilty of one thing, lying to a grand jury. Which has nothing to do with the case itself of doping.

For anybody to think that somehow a grand jury and the federal prosecution were going to get an indictment for doping against Lance is living in a world of denial and fantasy.

Saw this coming from the start. Case was going nowhere, just a huge waste of taxpayer money....again.
