Rebecca Romero is going to do LE to JoG non-stop on a tandem with James Cracknell, why? publicity, money or what!
On a more mundane note if it is genuinely non-stop how will they cope with the demands of nature?

People have been doing it for decades - its well known and respected record.
Try googling.

And they can stop for toilet stops etc - the clock wont stop though.

When Andy Wilkinson did it in his HPV - he had a tube in it so he could pee without having to stop. Which we only found out after we had looked at the bike and flicked the 'wee' tube bemusedly....

Lands End to John of Groats

I'm well aware of the history of the 'end to end' but what benefit will this tandem attempt be for a track rider?

Thanks for the other info on toilet breaks.

Bit of background which some of you might not know...

Rebecca was a very successful rower prior to getting involved in track riding. She won a silver medal in Athens in a rowing boat. James and her rowed at the same club for a number of years - so they are at least colleagues and probably good friends.

James has been doing stuff like this for the last few years - rowing across the Atlantic, racing to the South Pole... so it's just another one of those things.
