Well, I checked the city's location on a map, and it seems to be pretty easily passby-able (or maybe bypassable). But I haven't heard anything specific about it.

And yes, it is the race thread (I think).

Maybe we should really add something to the title or change it, so that people know this is the race thread. Some may just pass by.

So do you have any expectations about the race yet? Like, who wins? I mean, we don't yet know the route for sure or whether it will take place, but anyway...

I think an attack on the Poggio is going to be successful again. Van Aert is the logical candidate, as he also seems to cope well with the heat. I see it's going to be mid 30s in the Po valley and slightly cooler on the coast, and there's very little shade on the route, 7 hours out there will be super tough. And no, Gilbert won't win.
