I actually think there are a lot of riders that have a good shot at this one... obviously Gilbert and EBH favourites but no formality... I'll go with Bole or Simon Clarke

k im claiming that one :)

Interesting that Gerrans seemed to be the strongest guy in the peloton today. Gilbert destroyed himself just trying to follow him while Gerrans still had energy left to sprint. Surprising, to say the least.

Gilbert appeared to be tiring rapidly at eneco tour. I'm guessing he is feeling the effects of a long hard albeit successful season.

Yeah I agree.
He needs to recover very well if he's going to have any chance at the world championships.

Well done Grega Bole. Happy for him, its a great win. And sounds like it was a good ride by Gerrains as well.

I think thats exactly right. He was extremely tired, and has had a couple of weeks off (didnt ride Vattenfall). He now has to build back up for the worlds/Lombardy. He doesnt seem to think he has much chance at the worlds this year, but I am sure he will still give it a go.

Is still a few weeks away yet though, so plenty of time to get his mojo back

Great win by Bole, a huge young talent along with Ulissi and Malori. It's good that he shows attacking flair as well. Where was EBH???. Nice work by Gerrans, he looked the strongest there making the attacks, though Voeckler's attack looked like Scarponi's at M-SR. Nice work by Hushovd. Of course Ciolek vanished somewhere... ( even though i thought he had the right mind frame to be my dark horse ).

Gilbert seemed out of form but still a while to go to the WC's. He can conjure form and somehow make the race suit him just like last years.

TSF is there a link to this ( dailymotion ) or don't you want us to see as Gerrans did not win???

EBH had stomach problems, along with Flecha. fFecha abandoned, though EBH finished.
