A lot of riders has the podium or a top 5 as their goal: Kruijswijk, Pinot, Fuglsang, Buchmann, so it makes sense.

What I really fail to understand is why various teams are just working. Set up an attack or don't bother. The opportunity's there, everyone's vulnerable and there's a good chance they'd all look at each other if anyone was strong enough to get a gap.
