How on earth can you say Gilbert will collect less points than Rojas and Hushovd tomorrow? Have you seen the profile?
just some guy said:Evans is a diesel , but a power climb it is maybe Evans is best described a Power diesel

Back on topic, I think Evans could take the stage and yellow. The next stage is perfect to give it away. I might remind people that if Evans takes yellow tommorow, the last 4 grand tours he has contested he has taken the leaders jersey in and 6 leaders jerseys in total. Pretty impressive.

None of them will make the final sprint (he thinks).
So it's not really a wild prediction that he'll have less points.
Excactly. And Hushovd probably won't bother with the intermediate.luckyboy said:But he could get 40 from the finish + say 13 or something from the intermediate. Rojas + Hushovd, etc will get 20 max.

Meteo
A new escalation occupies this stage. In the morning the weather is very cloudy, the sky is chaotic and delivers showers, sometimes stormy. This stormy situation continues for the day stage. Summits are hung on by clouds. These showers can be moderated locally and firm. The conditions on the road will be bad, the rainy accumulations which can be rather important, of the order of some millimeters. A relative improvement is expected in the evening with more and more spaced out rains and sky which gets free slowly. However the situation remains perturbed during all night and until the next day. Winds : South-West wind from 10 to 20 kph with possible gusts under thunderstorms. Temperatures : Minimal: 12 to 14 degrees. 18°C on the departure. 14°C on the col de la croix 15°C on arrival. Maximal: 19 to 21 degrees.

kurtinsc said:He was saying he doesn't think Gilbert will make the finale... that it's too long for him.
If that's true, then Hushovd and Rojas will likely get more points.
I'm not saying I think it's true... but it's not an illogical belief.
luckyboy said:Oh yeah. Still think he will get more points from the finish + sprint though.
I can't see him being dropped anywhere. The cat 2 is too far out for GC riders to attack. I can't see someone going on the 3.5km at 5%, just a thinning out of the group. This climb is only 200m longer than Mur de Huy, and less steep.
I predict that he will be up there.
stetre76 said:my guess for tomorrow - Evans will get the yellow jersey, even though he might not want it. but i think tomorrow's stage is just a bit too hard for Hushovd to keep it.
for the stage - Evans, Klöden, AC in the top 5 (except the let a brakaway go). Uran Uran could also be somewhere in the top 10. Van den Broeck and Fuglsang might surprise
even more interesting (for me) than the "fight" for yellow is the fight for the green jersey.
Rojas has it again after today's stage, Hushovd is 37pts down.
Gilbert is not going to make any points tomorrow (or less than Rojas and Hushovd), Rojas can do well even uphill, so can Hushovd.
Sunday is also a pretty interesing stage fconcerning the green jersey.
