Supposedly it was the first race of the season for the Shack squad, according to one of the stage reports with competition consisting of Samuel Sanchez (I think was 5th), Contador (Overall winner), Luis Leon Sanchez
(2nd overall), Kloden and Joaquim Rodriguez. Leipheimer did reasonably well in the queen stage (3rd) and the final stage ITT (4th). I think Tiago Machado was in better form (2nd overall) at the time.

I was trying to give the little Leprechaun and a bit of credit here.;)

I'm not tryin to downplay him or give credit... I'm just not sure how to rate a result like that. Especially those early races where everyone's form seems to be all over the place.

I wonder if Lance will make fun of Levi... Tour of Utah..5 days of making laps around Donnie Osmond's house.

I'll bet Lance is envious of Levi right now. Levi breaks his Leadville record and gets to race state-side without an investigation weighing on his mind and draining his bank account for legal fees, etc.

I do not think Lance is envious of anyone except Contador.[GRR!] It is obvious to me he is mature and is preparing himself for the "Unamerican Witch Hunt"
I mean really Leadville is only a sidebar. Levi is a weenie and Lance is a man! THE BOSS!
Ultra pregunta por favor? LANCE RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I'm sure he is envious:rolleyes:

Great win by Levi in Utah. Damn hard to win a stage race riding by yourself even with a little help from friends. Just shows the class jump from good Continental team riders to a top Pro Tour rider. The course suited him of course as he could make big gains in the hills. But still, good on him.

....

OK, I've never felt the need to use the word "DUH" in the forum before but now is the time.
The main point is that Levi doesn't have the investigator breathing down his neck and gets to do what some here would call a "vacation race" and beat Lance's time ontop of it all. Jealous of the freedom Levi has, most anyone living in fear would be..

I disagree. With Levi being named by Landis and his blood values being made public by Holczer I think he knows he's being investigated by the antidopers. He could still have a suspension looming on the horizon.

True, but he could talk and get a deal. He is most likely not as worried as he did not cancel racing like LA

No worries, mate. I don't think the UCI can stop him from dropping by the local kindergarten and laying the smack down on the five year olds. I see a lot of future wins for old Levi.
