Anacona rode like a mad at Trentino; he was even able to go back to lead the pack again after being dropped.

I hope he can do the tour. I think he's doing suisse. rest of lampre suck anyway without scaproni and cunego

For a guy first year as pro, Id rather send him to Giro or Vuelta as le Tour tend to be 2 steps above others.
Anyway agree that if he keeps going like this he mays soon have his own space at Lampre (yesterday they were working for Bertagnolli and he sucked pretty badly).

Gediminas Bagdonas won the (1.2) Memorial Philippe Van Coningsloo. He won a bunch sprint by about four bike lengths. It's his fourth win of the season. Bagdonas also picked up a second stage win at the Ras after I got distracted and stopped posting stage reports here.

Nicolas Baldo (Atlas - Jakroo) won the Ras GC, in what was an unusually controlled version of the race. It was the biggest win of his career and he also took the sixth stage. In fact, it was a great performance by his team as not only did Baldo get his GC and stage wins, Permin Lang also took a stage and their team were in large part responsible for actually managing to keep order.

Commanding ride by young Rohan. Greenedge's future GT contender? I still don't know what he can do on a real climb, but his VO2max is through the roof, according to the Rabo testers.

Maybe, but how much does that test really say when this year Marc Goos broke the all-time record? ;)

Maybe that Marc Goos is a pretty good climber? Most of the guys up there are (except Theo Eltink ;))

He lost nearly a minute to Rohan Dennis in this uphill TT, but 40 seconds of that he lost in the nearly flat first part.

What a day - return of the epic (sorry 'bout that) solo mountain raids. And my man Barguil's teaching the peloton a lesson. I approve!

Tour of Qinghai Lake (2.HC)
stage 1:

1. Fabian Schnaidt (Specialized Concept Store)
2. Luka Mezgec (Sava)
3. Benjamin Giraud (La Pomme Marseille)

What a great sprint talent Schnaidt is. :) Last year the win at the U23 nat'l road race came as a surprise, but this year Schnaidt more than confirms this. Already UCI win No. 3 this year - and all on different continents so far! Plus some local wins in Germany, too. I hope he'll get a decent pro team next year.
