Nahom Zeray wins, Fancellu also kinda nuclear at Conti level.
How the hell does Zeray not have at least a PCT contract? 11th in Tour de l'avenir when riding for the UCI team (10th on Finestre), won u23 San Remo last year and was 12th in the Giro dell'Appenino vs the pros + being on the Q 36.5 developmental team?
And yeah, you need to be a proper conti-sputnik to beat Benji Dball at CT-level.
Edit: Zeray was also 12th on Green Mountain in the Tour of Oman this year.

He had (or maybe still has?) a deal with Q36.5, but they needed room for Pidcock.

Favorite Rodriguez has already attacked with 50k to go...
Given the horrible field in this race this could actually work (but it's very risky).

from a spectator's perspective, I like the idea of moving it to the Giro restday, but unfortunately the teams seem to disagree.

It's cause they had to move the race to a week earlier mid season and some teams obviously couldn't make that change (trainingcamps planned). This week will always be problematics cause most climbers are on altitude right now, but it would have better teams if they knew earlier on.

Happy for Christian Godriguez, and it warms the soul to see the Son, Jesus Herrada, return to form. But let us speak plainly, signing Emu Buchmann was a blasphemy in itself, and now, to select him for both the Dauphiné and the Tour, while forsaking the one race he might do well in? That’s a violation of at least two commandments. Cofidis stands on the edge of relegation, and Vasseur, our own Pontius Pilate, washes his hands while the team is mocked in the public square. The bank must act.
