Still a couple of days away, but on from Thursday there's the Sibiu Tour again. The parcours is more or less the same as usual, but with the Paltinis finish a couple of k closer to the steeper parts of the climb.

Bora sends the Rookies this year and no WT team felt the need to chase for points, so it's up to Schiffer to challenge Riccitello - unless Froome thinks it's time for a final win, or the Devo teams add Omrzel/a WT guy late on. Q36.5 usually goes strong in Sibiu as well.

There should normally also be Youtube coverage this year, otherwise as usual, on the website of the race.

Hilly opening stage with a downhill finish after a murito, a short uphill finish, a steep MTF, a (short) queenstage where you can attack on the penultimate climb and a final stage that is good for ambushes.

Besides the local CT teams with Sputniks like Zoidl and Stüssi the field is also not bad, UAE is bringing the tridente at home (Majka, Großschartner and Del Toro) with everyone being allowed to ride for himself, Chinastana are bringing Fortunato, Lidl-Trek are bringing Kämna (with Konrad supporting him) and EF are bringing Chaves and Carthy.

Decent route is an understatement, every single stage has real GC potential and the Kühtai stage is possibly the best high mountain stage I've ever seen in a .1.
Kühtai is hard, I've climbed the side that they do first (with 1km at 13%) and the Ötztal/Silzer Sattel + Kühtai combo multiple times when I still lived in Innsbruck. That first steep ramp after the short downhill and a 10kms at 10% climb snaps your legs.
