Come on.
A win in the Giro, a win in the Tour, 4th RVV, 4th Roubaix, 4th Amstel, 2nd DDV. This is still significantly better than De Lie.

No idea why you're bashing on Van Aert. Not his biggest fan, but he comes off from a Giro, a TDF and then followed by a period of sickness. Of course he's not in form anymore.

I look at cycling very differently.
I will take Renewi Tour, Bretagne Classic, GP Wallonie, Super 8 Classic any day of the week over 2 GC stages and some also ran places that no one will remember in 3 years time.

Visma put everything into an Uijtdebroeks attack on the last climb, didn't even try to drop Kubis from the chase group, and then helped chase down Uijtdebroeks after that. Kubis himself is simply climbing very well.
Hmm. Either you do the full-team train from the start to ensure a high on the climbs before the MTF, or you attack with your other riders on the first two ascents to have someone to bridge up to after the third.

But I don't think it'll be an issue to drop him in the end, only problem is that it may force you to pace with a rival on your wheel.
