Woops my bad.
But to be fair Samyn was French so the blame is not totally on me

In defence, pretty sure he's also talked about as having been Belgian, and he was in fact Belgian for most of his life.

How much is left of the French race, which I assume is a tribute to the deceased Danish musician Bjarne Liller?

20 km, apparently.

Bahrain can't have had too many mentions in the previous years versions of these threads. In the years 2022-24 they raced a grand total of three 1.1 races (not counting the Chronos des Nations in 2024), but here we are just into March in 2025 and today's race was their sixth already.

A big change.

Of course in these last three Belgian races they haven't had too many mentions despite their presence in the start list, but it's good to see them giving their youngsters a chance in races of a level more suited to them.

Just pointing out how some members always seem to be hating on the Belgian 1.1. races because they're "points farming" races whilst they don't do it for the French 1.1. races.
I thought you meant that the Coupe de France races are generally good, while the Belgian ones strangely aren't...
