With their eyes closed. The final hill at 10k to go is 1k at almost 10%, making this the hardest version of the route I can remember and it's not like the sprinters were in the mix in recent years to begin with.
Well, I would be careful to limit Fredheim to a sprinter. He was close enough in Muscat Classics over the last hill to come back and that was in a field with much stronger puncheurs.

Intermarché could finally win their first race of the season with Barré here, or Gualdi of course. Really don't get why he isn't pro yet, his taking points away from his own team sometimes.

The Muscat Classic is historically much less selective than this race. That one suits a sprinter who can climb, for this one you need to be among the very strongest on the climbs to have any chance. Fredheim has never climbed to that level.

Moschetti sneaks up the barrier at the death to beat groenewegen in the sprint. Groenewegen should have closed the door but we know he will never close the door.

I'm not good at following non-senior cycling and had missed that he was a crosser too.

Another thing: The Greek race going on seems to be called Delta Epsilon Etha Tour of Hellas. Are the organisers math enthusiasts or what's going on? I don't hope there will be as many DNF's as was the case in my year at uni when the epsilon-delta definition of continuity of functions was brought upon us.

ΔΕΗ is the Greek formerly-national-but-recently-privatized electricity company.

Given the English transliteration of ΔΕΗ, would that make Greece the country with the highest percentage of DEI hires? ;)

(I would make a better joke but it would probably not be allowed under forum rules)

Now I'm going to spend the night wondering what that joke would be.
