Alpecin pushing extremly hard in the peloton (with some help from FDJ) and are gaining a lot on the front trio now. 6 km left, gap 18-20 seconds. Seems like the front trio are not working perfectly together.

Philipsen looked second-rate compared to Merlier there.

He has done in sprints all season, to be honest. Had the win in Kuurne after the monster leadout but in more h2h sprints he's looked a level below. Conversely, he's looked better in classics than ever before
