there needs to be less of, or zero of these stupid "sprinters classics" with not enough selective terrain. boring to watch and needlessly dangerous. but i'm sure we'll get even more of them and instead have a Giro stage cancelled or ruined because it's too cold.

Lol, some just rode into a car park. Serves the pavement riders right.

By the time a bunch of riders got on the wrong side of the barriers, there was no bike lanes anymore.
Okay, looked more like they simply got too far out in the corner. Not a case of deliberately riding onto the sidewalk, or whatever it was.

Classic Belgian race. A bunch sprint preceded by stuff happening.

Classic smaller race that isn't too hard since UCI points became a thing.

Also Alpecin had the key and completely mismanaged this race.

You sound like the manufacturer of Vandevelde's bike

I solely blame the riders for that, they have been past the finish several times today.

You are right, signalling or not is not an excuse cause they've been there 3 times before, BUT that does not mean you can't criticize the fact that the barriers start there; It's a bit weird to put them there knowing it's just after a sharp turn where riders definitely could go wide.

Galvan lowkey performing strong, was part of that strong group when Del Grosso made his first move, did a leadout in the penultimate km and still a decent result. He and Pau could be the next Kern riders making promotion. Shame they are not invited to the Vuelta.

No idea what you're even trying to say
You said that this was a typical low level professional one day race with an easy parcours - as a response to me calling it a classic Belgian race where stuff happens before a bunch sprint. I'm saying that I think the Belgian bunch sprint races probably have more action than those outside Belgium, but I'm not sure, to be honest.
