there needs to be less of, or zero of these stupid "sprinters classics" with not enough selective terrain. boring to watch and needlessly dangerous. but i'm sure we'll get even more of them and instead have a Giro stage cancelled or ruined because it's too cold.
well, at least if they want the race on a more prime time kind of spot on the calander (a Wednesday between the classics) they could spice up the race a bit more. You can't make it really hard in that area, but slightly more interessting should have been possible.

Happy to see Ivo taking the win in Abruzzo after so much work that he has done for the team.

Tomorrow I expect Brenner vs Bennett for the stage and GC but wouldn't be surprised if Torres wins either.

Alpecins tactics were bizarre as the peloton were looking disorderly and the gap for Del Grosso was increasing before they did their ridiculous 2up attack that sparked the group into life.

They deserved to lose for that ineptitude but I feel bad for Del Grosso (and my CQ ranking team).

Today's final climb in Abruzzo:

they did the 2nd half of this in the 2020 Giro when Guerreiro won. Last k is steep, and that's about it - but for this level, and without domestiques, I guess the climb is hard/long enough for a selection.

Torres and then probably Herregodts tomorrow...
Herregodts is in the break, so seems like he wouldn't mind winning this stage either. Bardiani has a guy in there as well (Marcellusi), but I guess Polti planed to work all day anyway.

But Bardiani leads GC with Fiorelli.
They're not interested in this break with Herregodts, who's a minute behind.

Herregodts don't have it, the group behind seems to think Fiorelli is peak Armstrong, I think the winner will come from the 3 inbetween.
