Very interesting situation. Hayter looks like he's doing a bit too much in the breakaway, but he also looks strong.

Yeah I see it as a good sign. If Hayter is top no one is dropping him here. But it could get tactical. Apart from like 2 climbs the circuit isn't that hard and group is too big to stay together.

EDIT: ok nvm not looking that good for Hayter after all

Riders doing everything they can to make this stage hard and entertaining, but this circuit makes it too easy to organize every time after the hard climbs.

The riders in Andorra will be passing a statue:

That's one fatass cyclist!

(Uhm... we are allowed to call statues fat, right?)

Is this Copenhagen race meant to be WorldTour? How come it only has 10 WorldTeams? Does that not immediately disqualify it fro being a WT event next year?

I don't think there are any requirements for a post 2016 race under the current rules, as long as they have invited all WT teams, but that will of course change soon.

Wait, a 114.7 k one-day race? Crazy.

It was supposed to be a bit longer, but the Beixalis climb was taken out due to bad weather and it being on gravel (I think this was the climb where Pogi won his first GT stage and Soler had his famous tantrum but that name doesn't really seem to feature on the profile of that stage).

On that Vuelta stage, after the gravel section they turned right to climb up to Cortals d’Encamp (which is where Soler threw his tantrum) whereas today they would have turned left to descend into towards the bottom of Beixalis.
