Why was there a bunch sprint involving muscular Israel riders at this Volta HTF?
More perplexing than that, why is Artëm Nych, at the tender young age of 30, the OLDEST man in the top 10?

Who are these people and what have they done to the Volta?! Where is Délio Fernández? Where is Vicente García de Mateos? Ricardo Mestre?

At least Carlos Oyarzún is still here to give us something of Volta tradition, but we might be relying on guys like Jesús del Pino and Antônio Carvalho now that Freddy Watts is denied us!

German Eurosport saying the Cofidis riders shouldn‘t ride so hard and might as well finish five minutes down… I think that‘s not bike racing and I don‘t think they want Gr. Jegat to come back.

The Decathlon fairy dust only seems to affect a handful of riders each season? This year it seems to have fallen on Prodhomme, Tronchon, Sexias and Bisaux.

But is Nico German Tivani turning into one of those mythical sprinter-climbers? After all he is friends with Sola/coached by him.
That said, he could always climb well for a fast guy (9th on the Alto Colorado inthe Vuelta a San Juan in 2020) and could have been the next Richeze...

Salby 3rd.
Presumably he did not go missing. He did oxygen after the stage, though. However, apparently that's just... normal...

Most teams are ready with oxygen after the line, because many need it. I also sleep with an oxygen tank at night.
