I think for now they have planned another year with the U23 for now. Which is okay as well. He is intended to turn pro in 2027.

If anyone has some time waiting for the last Veulta stage and Montreal race, here is Ironman world champs. This year they're in Nice, France. They've done the swim part, now it's 180km of bike riding, with 100km to go. And then a full marathon run.

When I attempt to start the stream, it tells me it'll start at 17:30 (which I assume is local time)... bit of a problem if the race is expected to finish at around 17:00...

Anyway:

Wandahl, Oldani, Thomas, Burgaudeau, and Gaffuri have around 1:30 on Balmer and Bracalente
Peloton at around 2 minutes

Over in France - which has live images - Teunissen, Huck, Veistroffer, Guillon, and Hue have around 2 minutes to the peloton.

It's crazy to me that nobody picked up Gaffuri quicker. I get that he's a Zwift academy cyclist so there are sometimes race technique and bike handling issues (as well as snobbery) but it seems so clear he has the engine for PT racing at the very least

It appears the chase duo has been absorbed by the peloton. The gap was briefly up to 2:30, but is now at 2:15.
