Rein Taramae is the leader. He is still active, Astana could have brought him back as a points farmer.

Will there be a thread for Alula Tour? This year's field is very weak for the GC. Jan Christen, Paul Double, Hatherlly and Alfonso Eulalio.

Among the sprinters, Merlier isn't even there this year due to his injury. Gaviria and Jakobsen.

And Milan. But that won't make the race any more enticing for me...

AlUla starts tomorrow already and I'll start a thread if there's enough interest, just not sure if there is.

going by the rooadbook, the stage 3 finish is actually not quite as easy as I thought. Still easy, but at least it's more of a climb- than a sprint finish.

yeah, it is. As far as I recall, it's the part of the stage they neutralized due to sketchy road conditions, so they go up there instead now.

This race was expected to be boring with the removal of Route des Cretes, but it's a pretty entertaining one. Lotto was once again nowhere to be seen when a strong break went but looks like they closed the gap. Sprint still likely, but it's been made pretty hard so far

Lapeira alone now, but will be hard when Unibet, Lotto, Cofidis and Total decide to work together for a sprint. There's been splits behind too tho. Hard to know what's happening.
