He also does everything he can to squeeze riders in the barriers. It was obvious blocking with the sole intent of impeding the other sprinters. I can't believe you're encouraging such behaviour.
he does no such thing

he keeps a pretty straight line with a lot of space to his right

with the speed he was going, it was a safe manoeuvre. de lie was far more reckless than askey was

maybe he would run out of legs, but he hadnt when de lie took him out.

if he blew up and had to stop peddling, im sure he would move out of the way of others

I just watched it again, he goes off the front, goes to the left, looks back, sees Bauhaus, De Lie, Mosschetti, etc. and goes (slightly) to the right to give them nowhere to go. Bauhaus doesn't let him take Girmays wheel, so Askey goes slightly to the left again and tries to block the others.

This is simply impeding, and blocking purposely so against the rules. I have no idea why you're defending this. Even if you forget about impeding he's also not holding his line or lane. You're wrong when saying he's riding in a straight line. This is just asking for crashes.

Exactly what Van Poppel always does. I agree that is isn't as erratic, but that does not mean it isn't wrong.

Also again, while dangerous (I agree!) De Lie has nowhere to go, he has to go the left cause he gets bumped by mosschetti to his right (and that isn't Mosschetti's fault either, that just happens in sprints), he has no choice but using his shoulder, or just 100% breaking which would make him and other crash too.

But ok, let's agree to disagree i guess

This comment describes 8 out of 10 of Groenewegen's sprints (except for the periods when he had a dominant train in 2018-19). His lack of positioning is frustrating, although both here and in Besseges and Palma, the Rockets have done a poor job to be honest.

His team was absent today. I've found with Groenewegen if you get him into position with 1km he can navigate the finish, however, if you drop him off before then he gets lost.

Tomorrow is my favorite February race: the Clásica Jaén. They had to make a few adjustments because of the rain, but 25 out of 154 km are still on unpaved roads between the olive gardens. The Mar de Olivos ("Sea of Olives"), a sterrato sector of 7,3 km, will be done twice. Favorites are Pidcock, Wellens, Christen, Pellizzari, Van Gils and Mohoric. This could be some good, old-fashioned racing.

Picock looked very strong on the climb in Murcia. If he doesn't let another group get away from him, he should win easily.

I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could look at that finish and blame De Lie. Well, unless they're trying to ragebait, I guess.
