Total is a team that are easy to make fun of given that they often seem stuck 20 years in the past, but credit where it's due for not rushing Jegat back from major injury prematurely. Because that's something that more modern teams do way too often. And they've reaped the rewards immediately here.

Fairplay to mhb bank. They really went for it with fancellu, but the climb is just not hard enough and the magician has magic legs this week. Vino really strong as well. Shame there are no more hard stages this race.

The strongest rider won that day, the strongest in this race is Yates. As of today, neither Nordhagen nor Pinarello are at his level. I'd be surprised if he were beaten, unless they arrive together at the finish and he doesn't contest it because he's already won the overall, but he wouldn't have to do that with such a weak field.

If they want to beat him, they have to isolate him on the flat sections. Yates is very vulnerable on the flat, as we saw in the stage Romeo won.
For the last climb, he's undoubtedly the best climber in this race.
