Promising young Frenchman of cyclocross background Julien Alaphilippe won today's stage in Brittany, which finished on a small, typical Bréton hill, opening up some small gaps. Zoidl retains the lead thanks to his successful break in stage 2.

Looks like we have a five-way battle coming up. Couple of decisive stages left to race, so its all to play for.

With so may riders completely gone GC wise, break action will likely be brutal moving forward.
