Merlier really kicks Pedersen's ass. Brutally strong.
Really looking forward to see him in grand tours, what a cannonball.

Had time to start sprinting, look back, sit down, catch a breath, start sprinting again, look back again and still easily beat Pedersen by 1.5 bike lengths. :D

Why did he stop and look behind with 150 metres to go? Was he imagining that he could throw his arms in the air at that point? Weird behaviour.

I have no idea why DQS were working the whole time. They had nobody who could beat Merlier (or Pedersen) in a sprint and there were three Alpecin guys in the group.

I think he was either doing that or looking to see if he was clear to change his lane. Right after that he moved in front of Pedersen, a legal move since he was clear.
