3 of the top7 in yesterday's stage were born in 2001 or later (Tulett, Tiberi, Uijtdebroeks).

Tiberi looks like the ultimate diesel climber. Exactly like on Mont Bouquet earlier this year he lost contact when the others accelerated but then found his rhytm and kept going. I think he's developing quite nicely even if it doesn't always translate to results. Curious to see him in Romandie next month.

Romandie has a MTT as the biggest gc stage, right? That should suit him well. I like that they are sendiing him to his first gt, but on paper the Vuelta looks like the worst GT for him.

It's also the GT with less pressure and less stress in the first week. He can test himself over three weeks without the need to ride for GC yet.

I suppose when they planning his comeback schedule, they were factoring in that he might have something in common with a normal human being for the first week?

Probably.

But wasn't that kind of debunked in MSR, a race they scandalously were very close to not even let him ride.

Yes, but maybe a few days training in Italy, with the occasional max effort is better preparation for his main goals? Don't know if they can still enter him into G-W at this stage?

Potential upset in the final stage of Coppi e Bartali?

One of the breakaway riders, Omar Goldstein, has the race lead by 45 seconds with 20K to go.

Or not.

Cerny wins the stage after soloing from the breakway. And Ineos do enough to bring back the time gap.

GC
Dunbar
Tullet
Hirschi

First career win for Dunbar apparently.
