So... apparently Dideriksen and Noskova are riding Argenta Classic today. Which, wouldn't be so strange if it wasn't for the fact that they're currently riding Volta a Portugal, which finishes today.
Are they going to just race to Belgium after they're done in Portugal?

Zoe Bäckstedt won opening prologue of Baloise Ladies Tour ahead of Van Dijk and Kool.

All stages are pancake flat. The only top sprinters present at the Baloise Ladies Tour are Kool and Consonni.

Stage 3 is a double header, first 87 km and then TT of 10 km.

Im just happy she actually got to wear national stripes for the TT, as it really sounded after nationals that she had no races planned for the next year where she probably could.

are Kool/Consonni not doing TdFF then ?

Why do you think so? There is a gap of six days between both races.
Consonni also did the Giro not so long ago. I guess she’s here because of all the flat stages to get some revenge for the missed sprints in the Giro.

Hope she can take a couple here in Belgium. I’m trying to plan a bike trip to any of the start/finish places but the closest is 100km. Just got 2 weeks of rest (1 week sick) so don’t think I’m doing 200km again immediately.

it just doesnt feel like ideal prep to me, the TdFF is the biggest race of the season for the teams, Picnic are looking for stage wins, why would you push your riders through a 6 stage race, and then go here have just 6 days off before the biggest race of your season and oh btw the stages we want to win are all front loaded.

and it carries risk specially with so many pan flat stages as sprints are always at risk of crashes and a crash at this stage means youre probably out of the Tour,

Kool actually said post stage she went flat out and took risks today, I mean why if youre just prepping for a bigger race? unless this is some weird fight it out with Barbieri type trial of the sprinters.

but so why do they care about the results at the Baloise Ladies Tour, clearly not alot of the other teams do either as its a mix of development/generation riders and riders out of the Giro by the looks of the startlist, I just dont see what they gain from it.
