Alpecin rode the last 3kms like Lidl Trek's lead out for Milan in yesterday's stage of TA. Very impressive!

It's nice to see Lach get a first win for SDW. Gillespie once gain proved she has the speed, but she keeps starting the sprints too far back for it to matter.

Yeah, but presumably (hopefully) Gillespie will get better at positioning. She’s only in the WWT for a few weeks and podium finishes here, at Samyn and at the the Omloop von het Hageland is pretty good going.

Vos was on the startlist but she will not start today.

It's a shame we have to keep waiting for a race where all the big guns show up. MSR came close, of course, but Van der Breggen was missing (and Reusser, but she still has to reclaim her spot among the very best).
