I wonder if Urska regrets dropping out of the Jayco team for VCA? Seems like she would have been able to get her first win in a while.

She was supposed to participate in the race. Was it her choice or the Team's choice. I know that at times the team has had concerns about her condition.

She gave an interview (i'll try and find it) at the end of the Giro saying her and the team made the decision for her to pull out so she could spend some time with Tadej before she goes to altitude for Suisse and Giro Donne. She looked really good at Itzulia which wasn't that long ago.

Something doesnt add up when looking at the stages and the timegaps of Andalucia. Are they racing against bricklayers, nurses and lawyers or whats going on here?

A beautiful win for Bunel (and my emerging riders team). Also some more fine rides by the former rower Cavallar, Bego, Perekitko, Borghesi, Trinca Colonel and Laingairl insde the top 10. Cille was dropped fairly early on Chamrousse, but I think she managed to overtake a few riders before the finish. She's clearly not at her best yet, though.

After my recent Schweinberger stage in the Race Design Thread, it's also pretty great to see Kathrin get her first victory in three years.

Jayco still continue to send Baker and Paternoster to the same race. They could send Baker to two one day races over the weekend.

Lifeplus Wahoo rider Kate Richardson was knocked off her bike whilst on a training run by a driver in 4x4, broken scapula, and out of Tour of Britain View: https://www.instagram.com/p/C7y0Yp_sCoG/
Hopefully they arrest him for leaving the scene of an accident in addition to the reckless driving. I wish they could apply more serious charges like assault with a deadly weapon but courts will never go there.

I hope they throw the book at the guy when they catch up to him, to knock her off her bike, drive off, then come back to threaten and shout more abuse at her, before driving off again wtaf is wrong with some people

its the reason I wont ride on UK roads without video cameras anymore, Ive met too many people willing to do that kind of harm to me just to save a few seconds on their journey.

Im just not as hopeful as Kate it will amount to a prosecution if theyve not got much in the way of evidence to go on the police really dont put the effort in to deal with drivers like this, there was a case I knew locally where a rider was killed by a driver who left the scene, the police refused to label it hit and run, even though it clearly was and had witnessess stating it was, in case it made the driver feel they wouldnt get a fair trial. unsurprisingly theyve yet to find the driver.

I’m with you that deserved penalty would be more severe, but yeah, courts haven’t shown much consideration
For cyclists even when drivers were clearly aware of what they were doing could injure or kill or cyclist.

9 riders with 1.14 with 34kms to go. Talented riders in this break and it could go to the finish.

It's obviously great that the event has survived, but it's a shame that they're in a situation now, where they need an exemption in order to hand out UCI points for the race due to being one rider short of the 90 rider minimum rule.

Paternoster beat Kopecky in the intermediate sprint for 3” I believe.

They got almost 3’ on the peloton.

This really is a wonderful part of the country. Highly recommend it for a holiday. (unless you like the sun)

According to my youtube subtitles, Lotte Kopecky is spelled 'Lot Capacity'
