My two takes from this race. There is no way that Lippert should be allowed to ride away from a group of 25, especially, when she was leading for the peleton for much of the last 20kms. Secondly, it was impressive how Cat Ferguson made the front group of 6 after the Cat 1 climb.

Interesting that Sidney Swierenga of the Liva Alula conti team was with the leading group of 27 riders, lost contact with 15kms to go and finished 7 minutes. She must have blown up in her first race out of the junior ctaegory.

it was impressive, one second I thought ooh ELB looks to have gone too quickly there & Kasia is coming back got on the wheel, next sec I look up theres a 20metre gap between them !!

It was shaping up to be a great fight between them, but it didn't last long.

Fine performances from Trinca Colonel, De Vries, Ciabocco, Häberlin, Ghekiere and Nosková, who we know is a great climber, but has a hard time getting to display it.

Hold on, this can't be right...
According to both FirstCycling and PCS, Trek will be starting with only 6 riders in Provence, using the number 2-7.
I know Mads P. is the defending champion, and won't be riding, but he's hardly the first - or the last - rider to be unable to defend a title in a race, either due to injury, or simply because of the schedule.
Not using the number 1 because he isn't riding seems a bit... strange...

I've heard that God is a woman, but Mads P.? I'm not so sure about that one.

Oh, I can comment here ? I thought the thread was just for women, who want to discuss lesser known races.

It's for everyone who wants to discuss the lesser known races on the women's calendar.
Bit like the corresponding thread for the lesser known races on the men's calendar.
