Van Agt has closed the gap to Nosková, and they have around 40 seconds at the first crossing of the finish line, meaning that Van Agt is now virtually in the lead. The pressure is on UAE to chase behind. Another group of riders has now made its way back to G2.

The gap has continued to grow through the valley, despite Jayco also contributing to the chase. A lot of time can be lost on the climb, but 1:20 is a healthy lead for now.

Clever attack from Coupland. However, Jayco now only have one rider in contention for the stage win. Well, unless Appleton bridges across.

It was different for the riders, of course, but it was hard for the viewers to know where the finish was.

Dickson went for the chance of finishing second overall rather than giving herself the best possible odds of winning the stage.

Consonni crashed today, but only lost some skin.

Magdalene Lind won the last stage in Vietnam, but Komina held on to the GC victory.

Jasmin Liechti was the fastest in the sprint to the line in the Poreč Classic in Croatia.

Well that is Kind of a Strange result in the 1.1 Race Trofeo Oro in Euro… It feels Like the Level below the world Tour Teams is so weak, that some world Tour Teams can do what they want in a 1.1. Race. UAE and Fenix were nearly the only competitive Teams there, ok some UNO X, but then? Are there to many races on the women side or a there to less Teams? I have the feeling that Woman cycling has some Problems in growing to fast and is missing the base line… Development Teams, Pro Teams etc.

Angliru is now confirmed to be where the race will conclude on stage 7.

It's very much a Tour of the Northwestern corner of Spain.

What an absurd joke of a route. They literally did everything wrong that they could have - they visit far too little of the country to call it a Vuelta a España, the pacing is horrible, the mountain stages are horrible, the non-mountain stages are horrible, and the balancing is horrible.

Its where in a few years the mens race will have all twenty one stages to avoid the heat.
