Why? The less steeper the better for those kind of guys that would go now. Of course you proably ruin your race but for teams like Lidl, Quick-Step, EF and co it's about taking the punch out of UAE. More powerful riders like Powless, Schachmann and Nys should attack there.
I‘m very pessimistic today when it comes to Pogačar‘s dominance, if Remco can follow Pogačar, they might play some tactical role and of course it‘s still good for your Top 3 chances. UAE should be easily able to control this anyways

What'd he say?
That the course still uses public roads (almost 50 years ago) and that the peloton would ride on them today. However, the peleton was close touching the old Stavelot sweeper, and very close to the 1930s hairpin in Stavelot (near the circuit history museum). As well as a number of other inaccuracies.
(Of course, it hits harder when you're made up of 50% cycling history and 50% motorsports history since toddler days in 1970ies :p)

Maybe...but they only had Grossschartner, Sivakov and Mc Nulty there. If you could get a move going or multiple attacks that bring Sivakov to the front to early you can at least swamp there leadout before Redoute. I think the teams just don't try to win anymore unfortunately.
