While Pogačar is obviously the biggest favourite, at least, a Remco with an injury free winter and the breakthrough of Seixas should make this more than a formality.

Pogačar is still the heavy favourite. After all, he hasn't lost a hilly monument since LBL 2020, which is an absolutely brutal statistic. This year, he has also been looking super strong and the hillier the better for him.

I look forward to see what a well prepared Remco can do, on what is arguably the monument that suits him the most, but I have a hard time seeing him hang on which Pogačar until the finish.

As for Seixas, his rise brings a new element to the forefront, while there are legitimate doubts about his endurance, I don't expect a blow up and I truly believe he could be the one hanging on with Pogačar. Regardless, finishing on the podium would already be a massive result for him.

One thing that I would like to see tomorrow is riders antecipating on the climbs before la Redoute, especially because UAE is weaker this year and would bring more uncertainty to the race.

Pog did lose LBL 2023. Yes, he crashed out, but nobody was beating Remco that day. He soft peddled to a solo win

Remco's saying that Seixas will struggle in the final hour at LBL, suggesting the length is too much for him

Will be egg on his face if he finishes behind Seixas.

Not what he said. He was asked what he thinks of Seixas. Evenepoel said he looked very impressive all season long, but that he is 19. If there’s 1 thing that might be an issue it’s the distance.

He didn’t say Seixas will struggle, he said he might due to his age. Which is completely valid, has been said on this forum too

I suppose the time to tune in, is when UAE muster on the front and the booster rockets are lit for lift off. 90 km out? Yeah, somewhere thereabouts, Always good for a laugh to see someone drop the entire peloton whilst seemingly out for a Sunday jaunt.

Fake news, or lack of reading comprehension?

"We shouldn't be surprised if" is quite a bit different from "will".

Well, That's what he expects. He's just sugar coated using the words " Shouldn't be surprised".

Would be nice if something spices the race up ! if not action at least some words. The solo from Redoute for the win is becoming boring now.

I would prefer "Paul is a boy not a man. He is lacking balls for 260 km of racing against me and Pogacar"

So is Pogacar going to point at the sky again to commemorate the death of cycling?

Don't you remember that Mighty Wout saved cycling from death just 2 weeks ago? There's still land unconquered by the Lord.

He is right, Pogacar didnt lose any hilly ( we dont count San Remo as hilly although Cipressa has similar elevation gain that any climb at Liege) who has finished ( I dont remember if that crash what Pogacar blame to take risk or how It was) sin 2020. and That nake one of the greaters on history, maybe the best.

That way is becouse this edition is so important. We have a super generation with very complete riders. Pogacar has mesasure againts Riders as Van der Poel and Van Aert at flat classics several times ..sometimes has lost, sometimes won, and Due to crash and other problems anyway Remco and Pogacar didnt measure properly at a hilly classic. Pogacar has showed he is better for Lombardía, but he cant say clearly he is better for Amstel after what happened past year and we Will see if he is for Liege today, after lot of years.

What we watched at Flanders makes more favourite at Pogacar, but this is a better RACE for Remco.

What Remco dis a Sab Sebastián at 19 was the most inpressive performance for me in a classic , as he was just 19 and he came from football.

He beated at Van der Poel at Olimpics at Paris and to Pogacar at worlds in Australia, yes, Pogacar was there.
Glasgow.. amazing race...but too tecnic for him and too explosive. He was there and even attacked, but no way.

Pogacar is stronger than ever now, able to win Roubaix and he was so close. Liege is a perfect route for him, but today we will answer some important question into this generation. I would be happy if just anything happend , as a Crash or similar and all importante riders can show his best.

Seixas, he is above the wave now, but he has to show this 2026 that he is already ready for 260 to historic Riders for this race as Pogacar or Remco. He can play his cards and he could be on the podium and It would be really impressive, and he is close to that duo, It would be even humiliating as he is so young in a race like this.
If UAE consider him a real treath, I am not going to see other thing. He is a candidate, one of the favourites, but It would the most inpressive performance i have ever watch in cycling if he just get at the line with the same time as Pogacar and IS on the podium ( if there is an sprint with 10 Riders, no)

Red Bull should place Hindly or/and Tratnik in the break. Make UAE work for it. Best case scenario Pogacar there is no softening up and he has no launch
They absolutely should. But we all know they will send someone to pull the peloton all day and then Remco fights for 2nd

Seixas wins, as has been pointed out, have all been done from riding at the front from aways out. Be interesting to see if he can follow UAE when they up the tempo.

Probably, but I think they are getting smarter, they acted really good in tour de alps. And the tactics for RvV was ok. But I basically agree with you
