I wonder if Frank's comments earlier, not wanting to be the 'captain' has to do with the inclusion of Horner

if it is then he is who we thought he was, a pu$$y

Are there a chance that RS, aka "the sponsor", asked politely if they could have an american.

I was thinking the same thing. Shack and Trek both american companies and no americano on the team.

I'm glad Horner's in. He's a good interview, a very good rider and a guy who can animate the race. The Tour is better with him than without him.

I find his take on Armstrong borderline hysterical, but I can't help but like the guy anyway. Fun rider.

So apparently JB heart melted when Horner made his sad speech about Lance and eventually secured him a place in the Tour..
Maybe that was part of the deal.

Yeah, should be good fun to have him, let's see what the second best climber in the world can do in the absence of the best climber in the world. I guess Andy's the third ;-)

Excellent point and it makes all the sense in the world. A likeable American guy that can ' represent the company. Stars & stripes and all that feel-good ideal.

Good to see horner in, he is a great climber.
Better choice than fuglsang.
but I would still liked to have seen fuglsang in the team.

Agree with the Horner part but hopefully now Jacob can leave this team and get his chance to be a leader somewhere else.ummm Greenedge/Orice maybe?I know its not realistic but one can hope yeah?(heard rumors he will be back with Bjarne soon enough)

The problem with Fuglsang is, I think, simply that he's not that... good. I mean sure, he can handle the smaller one-week races like the one he just won, but when did he ever perform in a more competitive setting?

This story just gets more and more ridiculous.

Does anyone with greater historical knowledge of cycling than me know if there has ever been such a ridiculous mismanagement/general meltdown of a team ever before?

So Becca empire depends of Horner, Kloden and Frank...

I wanted to write something about the three holy/oldie - men, but then I realised, that I don't really know enough about religion to make a large enough blasphemy gag.

Castorama 1991 was not bad either, Fignon and Guimard no longer being on talking terms.

As much as I like Horner, his best performance at le Tour was a 9th place 2 years ago (better than that a 15th back in 2007).

Is Popovych shacks answer to Benjamin Noval? A guy who is not good enough to get in on his own, but gets selected because of connections?

Yeah but what would have his rank been if he hadn't blown 5+ (6'33", I looked it up) minutes when he stayed with Armstrong on the way up to Avoriaz?
