Still a bit extreme how much the peloton seems to have given in to their faith this year. Why really not try an organized chase once, instead of Healy energy bouts.

Yes maybe. But he also rode them off his wheel without looking like he was even close to going all out. Just like that. In the end they need to secure what they can gain, not what's not theirs to win to begin with. It sucks massively though, that the other big guns are out for *** reasons.

"Group 2 dynamics" is way too frequent of a phenomenon to put down to "they are all stupid". I'm not too shocked about this part. What I don't understand is why teams didn't even bother trying disrupting UAEs race before La Redoute. In the cobbles classics that didn't work either, but people at least tried to anticipate MvdP's move.
