Oh... they had a different kit for MSR...
Why do teams keep doing that? That's confusing...

Hi,

Had a rummage through the forum and only found 10+ y.o. threads with answers, so feel a new one is worth it.

Will be in Wallonia to ride the LBL-sportive (look for the guy on Lasse Norman Hansen's old DARE) and then watch the race the following day. RvV was easy as a spectator, just make your way to the Kwaremont. For LBL we're looking to place ourselves on one of the decisive climbs, preferably one not too far from a train station and with pubs nearby and a decent crowd. Any tips will be very much welcome.

At some point of the race you will either drop the rest or get dropped. It's only suitable that point to be your corner when after visiting as a viewer. Stand your ground you are worthy of such celebration.

P.S. If you want to see Pogi attack then around 100km from the finish line should do.

I’m going full Marco Haller and attacking on the flats to have a head start on the climbs.

Yes! Rode the sportive which was both wonderful and excruciating. The tarmac of Flanders and Wallonia is probably equally bad, but feel it most with the repeated descents of the latter. And riding the parcours before seeing the warriors take it on really makes you appreciate their effort even more.

Turns out the train connection from Spa is sub-par in general, but even worse on Sundays. So we took a taxi to the town of La Redoute (Sougné-Recouchamps). Decent place, but most bars close at 5pm, and some places only accepts cash but no ATM in the vicinity.

As you said, great accessibility to La Redoute so we got to see the men just before the underpass and the women bit further up at the kilometer mark. Thanks for the pointers, and hopefully back next year with a new ride+race-enquiry!
